Choose corn cobs that are plump, even, and are neither old nor tender.

Just remove the beard from the corn cob and clean the surface, because the corn inside is wrapped in a coat and is very clean. Then pile the corn cobs in a steamer, put some salt on the surface, and open fire to steam.
