Sweet potato sticky cake

During the Chinese New Year, every household in our country steam a large pot of this sticky cake, also called rice cake. When eating, cut it into slices and heat it in a steamer, or fry it in oil. It is fragrant and delicious. I added sweet potatoes to it, which increased the softness and sweetness of the sticky cake, making it even more delicious.

Steps for Sweet potato sticky cake

Prepare sweet potatoes, glutinous rice noodles, and red dates

Peel the sweet potatoes, steam them in the pan, and stir into a puree.

Soak red dates for later use.

Add boiled water to glutinous rice noodles and mix noodles.

Add mashed sweet potatoes and make dough.

Take a dough and wrap it in the soaked red dates (the dough is sticky and your hands can be dipped in water).
