Braised sea cucumber

Braised sea cucumber is a dish that most people in Dalian eat during holidays. Since I am a native of Dalian, I chose sea cucumbers from Changhai County. My two are a little small and don't look very good, but they taste very good.

Steps for Braised sea cucumber

Soak the dried Olay tablets in warm water (the instructions say they need to soak for 10 hours, but fresh Olay tablets can also be used).

Wash the Olay tablets.

Peel and cut the carrot obliquely.

Cut the shallots into sections and shred the ginger (I don't have any shallots at home, so I have to use shallots grown at home instead).

Wash the sea cucumber and cut it into sections.

Add oil to the pan and saute chives and ginger.

Add carrot slices and stir fry.

Add the Olay slices and stir-fry until the carrots are soft.

Add the sea cucumber and seasonings and stir-fry well.
