Morinda officinalis: Also known as Morinda chinensis, San-vine grass, and chicken intestines wind. It is the dry rhizome of Morinda officinalis plant. It is sweet and spicy in nature and has the effects of dispelling rheumatism, strengthening muscles and bones, and replenishing waist and kidney.
Eumoides: Also known as Sixian and Sizhong, it is the bark of Eumoides tree. The nature is warm and slightly pungent. It has the effects of replenishing the liver, tonifying the kidney, warming the uterus, and controlling the fetus. It has a curative effect on back pain in waist service, weakness of feet and knees and other symptoms.
Bajindi is often combined with Eumoides and boiled into soup, which is sold in Chinese medicine shops.
