I found here that most of the cookies like making sushi very much. I have a few of my own experiences and share them with you. I wonder if they will be helpful to you.

Steps for sushi

Spread the shrimp meat into a cake shape, wrap it up and steam it.

1: You don't necessarily need to use so-called Japanese rice or add glutinous rice for sushi rice; ordinary rice works just as well.
2: You don't necessarily need special sushi vinegar either; you can make it yourself. Approximate ratio: 30cc white vinegar (about 2 tablespoons) plus 16g sugar (about 4 teaspoons) and 5g salt (about 1 teaspoon), mixed well.
3: When spreading the rice, do not cover the entire sheet of nori, or it will be hard to roll well. Just covering 2/3 of the nori is sufficient. Do not roll the nori inside the rice, as that also makes it difficult to cut. As for the fillings, add whatever you like; it doesn't necessarily have to be cucumber, carrot, etc.
