Shanfen Yuan is made by soaking black seeds harvested from Shancao in water and cooking them. After cooking, the surface of black seeds will produce colloid, and when added with sugar water, they will become a mountain flour. Because mountain herb contains "betulinic acid", it is said to have the effect of strengthening the stomach and straightening the intestines, annealing and lowering blood pressure.

The first time I saw this thing, I felt very wonderful. It was a bit like the seeds of kiwi and a bit like the seeds of dragon fruit. You can see it in ordinary Hong Kong-style dessert shops.
