Prepare the ingredients.

Cut the vanilla pod open with a knife, gently scratch out the black seeds inside, then cut into sections and place in a milk pan.

When boiling vanilla pods, be sure to use low heat; the longer you boil, the stronger the aroma. In many of my friends' recipes, hot milk is poured into the egg mixture. I did the opposite. If you are careful, you can follow the method of pouring hot milk into the egg yolks. Stirring multiple times is mainly to prevent ice crystals from forming in the ice cream texture; I found it more convenient to use an electric mixer for this step.
