Food outside is either too expensive or unhygienic, so cooking at home is safer. But for office workers, a good dish is one that's quick, simple, and delicious. So, are there any simple home-style dishes?
Kung Pao Chicken
I. Kung Pao Chicken
Ingredients: 2 chicken legs, 2 cucumbers, a small plate of roasted peanuts, cooking wine, light soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, Pixian Douban paste, minced garlic, salt, sesame oil, cornstarch water.
Instructions:
1. 2 chicken legs, 2 cucumbers, a small plate of roasted peanuts;
2. Cut the chicken legs into pieces, add cooking wine, light soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar to marinate;
3. Heat a wok with oil, stir-fry the Pixian Douban paste until fragrant, add the chicken pieces and stir-fry over high heat for 3 minutes;
4. Add the cucumber pieces, stir-fry over high heat for 2 minutes, add minced garlic, salt, and sesame oil to season;
5. Drizzle with cornstarch water and stir-fry for 1 minute, then add the roasted peanuts and mix well;
6. Serve immediately and it's ready to eat.
II. Cola Chicken Wings
Ingredients: 1000g chicken mid-joints, 1 can of cola, 1 star anise, 2 spoons of yellow wine, 4 spoons of light soy sauce.
Instructions:
1. Blanch the chicken wings in boiling water to remove the raw smell.
2. Heat a wok with oil, stir-fry the star anise until fragrant, add the chicken wings and pan-fry until both sides are slightly colored;
3. Turn to medium-low heat and cook for another 20 minutes, until the sauce has almost reduced.
