Patients with acute hepatitis should mainly consume light and easily digestible foods during their hospitalization, paying attention to their own taste preferences without forcing themselves to eat excessively. After the patient is discharged from the hospital upon basic recovery, they still need to manage their diet rationally to promote liver repair and achieve the goal of dietary therapy. The general standards are as follows: the patient's daily caloric intake should reach 7.53-8.37 megajoules (1800-2000 kilocalories), 80-85 grams of protein, 300-350 grams of carbohydrates, and 30-40 grams of fat. However, female patients should keep their daily caloric intake within 6.28-7.11 megajoules (1500-1700 kilocalories). In addition, patients who are more than 10% over their standard weight and those with complicated hepatogenous diabetes should appropriately limit their caloric intake. In summary, the basic principles of dietary therapy for acute hepatitis patients are: to ensure adequate protein intake, regulate total caloric intake by limiting carbohydrate intake, and maintain a stable weight.
