Peel the wax gourd, slice it thinly, and shred the green onions.

Stir the whitebait in an oil pan until done, pick up and set aside.

Stir fry the wax gourd in a frying pan until 6 to 7 minutes cooked, add a little salt to taste.

Pour in a bowl of stock or water, add the whitebait, cover the pan and bring to a boil, turn to low heat and cook for another 5 minutes.

Before starting the pan, add chopped green onion, salt, and chicken essence, and serve.
