Steps for sweet potato balls

Prepare raw materials.

Peel the sweet potatoes and carrots and cut them into small pieces.

Put on a steamer and steam carrots and sweet potatoes.

After cooling, use a spoon to mash the sweet potatoes and carrots into a paste.

Pour the sugar and lotus root starch in, about a small bowl of lotus root starch will do (I put too little, so it won't be easy to shape).

Take an appropriate amount of the mixed sweet potato mashed and make it into a round ball by hand;(Put a bowl of water next to it, and your hands will not stick to your hands if they are soaked in water).

Use your left thumb to turn around the bottom of the round ball to make a small hole for easy steaming (similar to making wowotou).

Lay a moist cage cloth on the cage drawer and place the prepared sweet potato balls in it.

Cover the lid, open fire and steam, turn off the heat for ten minutes after filling, simmer for two minutes before removing the lid.
