Homemade rice wine
During the Dragon Boat Festival, there were about 2 kilograms of glutinous rice extra when making rice dumplings. I made them into rice wine.

Steps for Homemade rice wine

Wash the glutinous rice clean and soak it in clear water overnight.

Remove the soaked glutinous rice into a steaming drawer and steam for 30 minutes over high heat.

During this period, water should be added 1-2 times depending on the hardness of the glutinous rice.

The steamed glutinous rice should be scattered with chopsticks in time to avoid the rice getting into clusters.

The containers used for making wine should be washed and disinfected.

Dry the glutinous rice in a container to cool. (About 30 - 35 degrees)

Dissolve the sweet wine medicine with a small amount of cold boiled water.

Pour the liquor into the cooled glutinous rice and mix well.

Put the mixed glutinous rice into a container and tighten it, leaving a hole in the middle.

Cover it and wrap it with a thin blanket or cotton-padded coat if the temperature is too low at night. (Hot water bags are also needed to keep warm in winter)

Three days later, wine was already served in the middle of the garden hole.
