Purple sweet potato porridge

I bought this purple potato online with my colleagues last Monday. Speaking of which, it's really convenient ~~~ I've had it for almost a week, and it looks pretty good. I have seen purple potato porridge made by many people, and I think it is nutritious and has a beautiful color. But why is the one I make is dark? I guess there is less rice and more purple potatoes, you guess???

Steps for Purple sweet potato porridge

Wash the rice and soak it in water for more than half an hour. Wash and peel the purple potatoes, and cut them into small pieces.
