Steps for braised pork with taro
1
Peel the taro and cut into slightly thicker slices; chop the garlic for later use.2
Wash the pork belly and place it in the soup pot, add the star anise, cook the pork belly until it is seventy ripe, and then remove it.3
Use a toothpick to make some small holes in the cooked meat, and evenly coat the surface of the pork belly with about 5ml of soy sauce.4
Combine salt, honey, 5ml soy sauce, fermented bean curd juice, oil and chopped garlic to make a sauce and set aside.5
Mix taro slices and meat slices well in the seasoning to make each slice coat with the seasoning as evenly as possible.6
Place the coated taro and meat slices neatly in a bowl and steam for 30 minutes.7
After steaming the braised meat, heat the water starch and 5ml of soy sauce in another pot to thicken, and pour on the steamed braised meat just now.
