This dish is a traditional dish in Northeast China. When I was a child, I could only eat it on holidays or when there were distinguished guests at home. Now that our living standards have improved, this dish is no longer suitable for elegance and seems to have been forgotten.
This tofu roll is very simple to make, the ingredients are easy to buy, and it tastes very good. I will introduce it to you today.

Steps for Northeast smoked dried tofu roll

1
Add water to the meat and stir vigorously in one direction. Add chopped green onion and ginger, salt, flour paste, soy sauce, five-spice powder, chicken essence, starch, and cooked vegetable oil and continue to stir for a while.
2
Leave for 20 minutes to taste.
3
Spread the dried tofu on the chopping board.
4
Spread the meat filling evenly on top and smooth it.
5
Roll up.
6
Place the rolled tofu roll in a steamer and steam for 15 minutes. Before steaming, use a toothpick to make some holes in the tofu roll to prevent bubbles from appearing during the steaming process.
7
Take another wok, put a piece of tin foil in the pan, and put sugar on top of the tin foil.
8
Put the steamed tofu rolls into a wok together with the steamer.
9
Cover the lid, open fire, wait for smoke in the pan to turn off the heat for about ten seconds, then simmer for a while to color the tofu roll.
