How to Make Stir-Fried Cold Noodles: A Complete Guide

Stir-fried cold noodles, a beloved street food staple, offer a perfect balance of chewy texture, savory flavors, and a hint of spice. Here’s a simple yet delicious recipe to recreate this dish at home.

Ingredients:

- 200g Korean-style cold noodles (or thin wheat noodles)

- 2 tbsp cooking oil

- 1 onion, sliced

- 1 bell pepper, julienned

- 100g cabbage, shredded

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)

- 1 tbsp soy sauce

- 1 tsp sugar

- 1 tbsp sesame oil

- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

1. Cook the noodles: Boil noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Rinse under cold water, drain, and toss with 1 tsp sesame oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.

2. Stir-fry the veggies: Heat oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add onion, bell pepper, and cabbage. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.

3. Season the noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the pan. Pour in gochujang, soy sauce, and sugar. Toss everything together for 2–3 minutes until evenly coated and heated through.

4. Finish and serve: Drizzle with remaining sesame oil, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Tips: For extra protein, top with sliced beef, shrimp, or a fried egg. Adjust gochujang for spice level and enjoy this quick, flavorful meal!
