Zongzi at Dragon Boat Festival

Finally, when the Dragon Boat Festival was approaching, I made the rice dumplings I made myself for the first time. Although it didn't look very good, it was still beautiful to eat it!

Steps for Zongzi at Dragon Boat Festival

Soak glutinous rice, red beans and purple rice overnight, and add some white sugar to the glutinous rice when using.

Remove the core of the red dates and prepare the candied dates for use.

Wash the zongzi leaves after soaking, and then boil them with boiling water for 3 minutes.

Rotate the corner of the zongzi leaf upward and press with your thumb.

Add a small amount of glutinous rice, and then add the candied dates.

Put some more rice on top and tighten it.

Press the zongzi leaves downward, wrap the zongzi leaves by the edge of the zongzi, and wrap them with string.

Pour water into a pressure cooker, add rice dumplings, cook and simmer for a while.
