Henan steamed pork

Henan steamed pork
My father-in-law came from my hometown to get some old beans, and I thought of making steamed pork. The raw materials are relatively common, but it is difficult to grasp a few key steps. I specially called my mother the day before to ask for details.

Steps for Henan steamed pork

  • Make step 0
    1
Wash the beans and dry them, then break them into sections by hand (be sure to dry them. I washed it one night in advance. Note: You cannot break it and wash it, water will get into the beans). Wash the potatoes and cut them into large potato chips (if they are too thin, they will break after steaming)

Wash 1 and a half kilograms of meat, cut it into slices, and make it thicker (Mom usually uses pork belly, which is a little fatter and is very fragrant when steamed. I use more lean meat because I don't like fat meat, which depends on personal preference.) Pour a bag of sweet flour paste (180g), add salt, soy sauce, monosodium glutamate, pepper noodles, green onions, ginger slices, and other seasonings. Mix well and pickle. The taste can be adjusted to make it stronger, so that salt can be added in the future.

Soak the vermicelli in warm water. If it cannot be soaked for too long, soften it. This step is very critical. If the time is short, it will be easy to get uncooked, and if it takes a long time, it will turn into pimples.

Crush 2 leftover steamed buns. The purpose is to prevent the steamed vegetables from sticking to one piece. If there is no one, it's okay not to put them. My mother said it's best to put them more. For a novice like me.

Put all the ingredients together and mix well, use your hands. There are many things that you can't keep with chopsticks (without the pictures, my hands are covered with sweet flour sauce, so I can't take it).

    6
Add flour to the mixed vegetables, mix well, and make sure that the flour strips must be evenly touched (don't lose flour, otherwise it will stick together after steaming)
  • Make step 5
    7
Put on the pan and steam on high heat. Just steam over low heat for 25 minutes
  • Make step 6

The finished product was steamed, but I didn't steam it very well. After all, it was the first time, and I wasn't sure it was a little sticky. I believe it will be better in the future. If you like to eat garlic, you can pour it with garlic juice. It is very refreshing and my husband likes it very much.

If you haven't finished it, be sure to put it in the refrigerator ~ Next time, you can stir-fry it with oil and sliced garlic.
