Steps for Lotus root, yam, pork bone soup

Wash the pig bones and cut them into pieces.

Peel lotus root and yam;(the peeled yam should be placed in clear water) Prepare onions, ginger, and star anise.

Boil the water in the pot and add the pork bones to blanch them.

Wash off the foam.

Put the pork bones into the pan, add water, add the onions, ginger, and star anise to boil, and simmer for an hour and a half over low heat.

Cut lotus root and yam into slices for later use.

Add lotus root and yam, and simmer for another 15 minutes.
