Steps for Osmanthus glutinous rice lotus root

1
Prepare materials. Glutinous rice must be soaked in advance.
2
Wash and peel lotus root.
3
Cut approximately 5CM from the thick end.
4
Cut a corner of the food bag to a diameter slightly smaller than the lotus root hole to form a funnel. Insert it into the lotus root hole, fill in rice grains, and then poke it in with chopsticks or bamboo sticks to quickly and ensure a clean operating environment.
5
Fill the glutinous rice into each lotus root hole without being too tight. The glutinous rice will grow slightly during the cooking process.
6
Cover the cut lotus root with your head and fix it with a toothpick.
7
Put the lotus root into the pot, add the water that has not passed the lotus root body, add rock sugar, red dates and lotus seeds. Cook for an hour and a half, simmer for half an hour.
8
Remove and slice the cooked lotus root, pour it with sugar osmanthus or honey.
