Steps for congee with pork and century

Wash the rice, add shredded ginger into a casserole, add appropriate amount of water, boil over high heat, turn to low heat, and simmer slowly. (Stir occasionally after opening fire to avoid the rice sticking to the bottom of the pot).

Peel the preserved egg and cut it into small particles. Shred lean meat, add a little salt and cornflour, mix well.

When the porridge in the casserole is to be cooked, add preserved eggs and shredded lean meat to boil, turn to low heat and cook for a few minutes, while adding appropriate amount of salt. Add the shallots and stir well before starting the pan.
