Bear Cake Rolls

How to Make a Cute Bear Cake Roll

Making a bear-shaped cake roll is a delightful way to combine baking with creativity. Here’s a simple guide to crafting this adorable treat.

### Ingredients & Preparation

First, gather your ingredients: 4 eggs, 60g sugar, 60g all-purpose flour, 30g milk, 30g vegetable oil, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Separate the eggs, beating the yolks with sugar until pale. Whisk in milk, oil, and vanilla. In a separate bowl, sift flour and fold into the yolk mixture gently. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, then fold into the batter in three batches.

### Baking & Shaping

Pour the batter into a 15x10-inch baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden. Immediately invert the cake onto a clean towel dusted with powdered sugar. Peel off the parchment and roll the cake tightly with the towel, letting it cool completely.

### Assembly & Decoration

Unroll the cooled cake and spread a layer of whipped cream. Roll it up again without the towel. For the bear shape: Cut a small slice from one end to form the muzzle. Place the roll on a plate, positioning the muzzle as the face. Use black icing for eyes and a nose, and add pink icing for cheeks. Optional: Decorate with chocolate ears or small fruit slices.

Chill for 1 hour before slicing. This fluffy, bear-shaped cake roll is as fun to make as it is to eat—perfect for birthdays or a sweet surprise!
