How to Stir-Fry Walnut with Chives

Stir-frying walnut with chives is a quick, nutritious dish that blends crunchiness, freshness, and aroma. Here’s a simple yet delicious recipe:

Ingredients:

200g fresh chives, washed and cut into 3cm segments; 100g walnut kernels, lightly toasted; 2 cloves garlic, minced; 1 tbsp cooking oil; 1 tsp soy sauce; ½ tsp salt; ½ tsp sugar; pinch of pepper.

Steps:

1. Prepare the walnuts: Toast walnuts in a dry pan over medium heat for 3–4 minutes until golden. Set aside to cool.

2. Stir-fry chives: Heat oil in a wok. Add minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant. Toss in chives, stir-fry for 1–2 minutes until slightly softened but still crisp.

3. Combine: Add toasted walnuts, soy sauce, salt, sugar, and pepper. Stir-fry for another 30 seconds to evenly coat the ingredients.

4. Serve: Dish out immediately and enjoy the delightful contrast of crunchy walnuts and tender chives.

Tips: For extra flavor, a dash of sesame oil can be added before serving. Avoid overcooking the chives to retain their vibrant color and crispness. This dish pairs perfectly with steamed rice or noodles, offering a healthy and tasty meal.
