Spicy grilled chicken wings are a crowd-pleaser, perfect for parties or casual meals. Here’s a simple yet delicious recipe to achieve crispy, flavorful wings with a kick.
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split at the joint
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- For the glaze: 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, 2 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp sriracha, 1 tsp soy sauce
Instructions:
1. Marinate: In a bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Toss wings in the mixture and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for deeper flavor).
2. Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high (around 400°F/200°C). Clean the grates and oil them lightly to prevent sticking.
3. Grill: Place wings on the grill and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F/74°C).
4. Glaze: In the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush wings with the glaze (mix BBQ sauce, honey, sriracha, and soy sauce). Flip and glaze the other side.
5. Rest & Serve: Remove wings from the grill and let them rest for 3-4 minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped cilantro and serve hot.
Tips: For extra crispiness, pat wings dry before marinating. Adjust spice levels by adding more/less cayenne or sriracha. Enjoy these fiery wings with ranch or blue cheese dip!
