How to Make Pork Belly and Enoki Mushroom Rolls

Pork belly and enoki mushroom rolls are a delicious, savory dish perfect as an appetizer or main course. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to making them.

Ingredients:

- 200g pork belly, sliced thinly

- 1 bundle enoki mushrooms, roots trimmed

- 2 tablespoons soy sauce

- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

- 1 teaspoon sesame oil

- 1 teaspoon sugar

- Garlic, ginger, and scallions (finely chopped)

- Toothpicks (for securing rolls)

Instructions:

1. Marinate the Pork: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, ginger, and scallions. Add pork slices and marinate for 15–20 minutes.

2. Prepare the Mushrooms: Pat enoki mushrooms dry; if too long, cut them in half.

3. Roll the Ingredients: Take a marinated pork slice, place a small bunch of enoki mushrooms at one end, and roll tightly. Secure with a toothpick. Repeat for all ingredients.

4. Cook the Rolls: Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon of oil. Place rolls seam-side down and cook over medium heat until browned (2–3 minutes per side).

5. Simmer and Finish: Add 2 tablespoons of water and the remaining marinade. Cover and simmer for 5–7 minutes until the pork is tender. Remove the toothpicks before serving.

Serving Suggestion: Garnish with sesame seeds or extra scallions. These rolls pair well with steamed rice or a light salad. Enjoy the tender, flavorful combination of juicy pork and crisp-tender mushrooms!
