How to Make Pineapple Sago Pudding: A Complete Guide

Pineapple sago pudding is a refreshing, tropical dessert loved for its sweet-tangy flavor and chewy texture. Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide to create this delightful treat at home.

Ingredients:

- 100g sago pearls

- 1 fresh pineapple (chopped)

- 500ml coconut milk

- 3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

- A pinch of salt

Steps:

1. Cook the Sago: Rinse sago pearls under cold water. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, add sago, and stir occasionally. Cook for 15–20 minutes until translucent, then turn off the heat. Let it sit, covered, for 10 minutes. Rinse under cold water to remove excess starch.

2. Prepare the Pineapple: Chop the pineapple into small cubes. Reserve some for garnish. Sauté half the pineapple with sugar and a splash of water until soft, then blend into a puree.

3. Combine: In a pot, mix coconut milk, pineapple puree, and the remaining pineapple chunks. Add cooked sago and salt. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring gently. Do not boil to avoid curdling the coconut milk.

4. Chill and Serve: Let the pudding cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Serve cold, garnished with extra pineapple and toasted coconut flakes if desired.

Enjoy this creamy, fruity dessert that’s perfect for warm days!
