How to Make Garlic Sauce Green Beans: A Simple Guide

Garlic sauce green beans are a popular, quick-to-make dish loved for its fresh flavor and crispy texture. Here’s a simple guide to prepare it perfectly.

Ingredients: 300g fresh green beans, 4-5 cloves garlic (minced), 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tbsp cooking oil, a pinch of salt, and optional chili flakes for heat.

Steps:

1. Prepare the beans: Trim the ends of the green beans and wash them thoroughly. Blanch in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp, then immediately transfer to ice water to retain their vibrant color and crunch. Drain well.

2. Make the sauce: In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and a little hot water (if needed) to dissolve the sugar. Adjust seasoning to taste.

3. St-fry: Heat oil in a wok over medium heat. Add minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant (about 30 seconds, avoid burning). Toss in the blanched beans and stir-fry for 1 minute.

4. Combine: Pour the sauce over the beans, stir quickly to coat evenly, and cook for another 30 seconds. Garnish with chili flakes if desired. Serve hot as a side dish or with rice.

This dish balances the crunch of beans with the bold aroma of garlic, making it a healthy and flavorful addition to any meal. Enjoy!
