How to Make Braised Pork and Bean Noodles

Braised pork and bean noodles, a hearty and flavorful dish, combines tender pork, crisp green beans, and savory noodles in a rich sauce. Here’s a simple guide to recreate this comfort food at home.

Ingredients: 500g pork ribs (cut into pieces), 200g fresh beans (trimmed), 1 onion (sliced), 3 garlic cloves (minced), 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar, 500g fresh noodles, 2 cups water, and vegetable oil for cooking.

Steps:

1. Prepare the meat: Marinate pork ribs with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar for 15 minutes.

2. Stir-fry: Heat oil in a pot, sauté garlic and onion until fragrant. Add pork ribs and cook until browned.

3. Simmer: Pour in water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until pork is tender.

4. Add beans: Toss in green beans, cook for 5 minutes until slightly softened.

5. Noodle magic: Place fresh noodles over the pork and beans. Pour remaining sauce and ½ cup water. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes, allowing noodles to absorb the flavors.

6. Serve: Mix gently and garnish with chopped scallions.
