Ingredients:

- 200g fresh clams, soaked in salted water to remove sand

- 300g winter melon, peeled and cut into 1cm cubes

- 2 slices of ginger

- 2 green onions, chopped

- 500ml water or broth

- Salt, white pepper to taste

- 1 tsp cooking oil (optional)

Steps:

1. Prepare the clams: Soak clams in salted water for 30 minutes, then scrub clean under running water. Discard any broken ones.
