Simple Pizza

Easy Pizza Recipe Guide

Craving pizza but don’t want takeout? Making a simple pizza at home is quick, fun, and customizable! Here’s a basic guide to get you started.

First, gather your ingredients: For the dough, mix 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp yeast, 1 tsp sugar, 3/4 tsp salt, 3/4 cup warm water, and 2 tbsp olive oil. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth, then let it rise for 1 hour.

While the dough rests, prepare the sauce. Stir together 1/2 cup tomato sauce, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 tsp dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Transfer it to a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread the sauce evenly, leaving a small border. Top with 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella and your favorite toppings—pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives work well.

Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then slice and enjoy!

This basic recipe is versatile—try whole wheat dough, pesto sauce, or dairy-free cheese for variations. Homemade pizza has never been easier!
