How to Make Radish Cake: A Step-by-Step Guide

Radish cake, a savory and comforting dish, is beloved for its crispy exterior and tender, flavorful interior. Here’s a simple yet delicious recipe to make it at home.

Ingredients:

- 300g white radish (daikon), peeled and grated

- 200g all-purpose flour

- 1 egg, lightly beaten

- 50g dried shrimp (optional, soaked and chopped)

- 2 green onions, finely chopped

- 1 tbsp soy sauce

- ½ tsp five-spice powder

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Oil for frying

Instructions:

1. Prepare the radish: Squeeze grated radish to remove excess water, ensuring a firm texture.

2. Mix batter: In a bowl, combine flour, egg, salt, pepper, and five-spice powder. Gradually add water (about 150ml) to form a smooth, thick batter. Stir in radish, shrimp, and green onions.
