How to Stir-Fried Pork Liver with Green Peppers

Stir-fried pork liver with green peppers is a popular Chinese dish loved for its tender liver, crisp peppers, and savory sauce. Here’s a detailed guide to making it at home.

Ingredients: 300g pork liver, 2 green peppers, 1 onion, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp cooking wine, salt, sugar, and vegetable oil.

Steps:

1. Prepare the liver: Rinse the pork liver, remove membranes, and slice into thin pieces. Soak in cold water for 15 minutes to remove blood. Drain, then marinate with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp cooking wine, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.

2. Prep vegetables: Cut green peppers into strips, slice onion, and mince garlic.

3. Cook the liver: Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Stir-fry the liver for 1–2 minutes until just browned. Remove and set aside.

4. Stir-fry vegetables: In the same wok, add a little oil, sauté garlic and onion until fragrant. Add green peppers and stir-fry for 1 minute.

5. Combine and season: Return the liver to the wok. Add oyster sauce, a pinch of salt and sugar, and toss quickly. Stir-fry for another 30 seconds. Serve hot with rice.

Tips: Cook the liver quickly to keep it tender. Adjust seasonings to taste. Enjoy this flavorful and nutritious dish!
