Ingredients: 1 large cabbage head, 500g ground pork (or a mix of pork and beef), 1 cup cooked rice, 2 onions (finely chopped), 2 garlic cloves (minced), 1 egg, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp black pepper, salt to taste, and tomato sauce for simmering.
Steps:
1. Prepare the cabbage: Core the cabbage and immerse it in boiling water for 3–5 minutes until leaves soften. Drain carefully, then carefully peel off 12–15 large leaves. Trim thick stems if needed.
2. Make the filling: In a bowl, mix ground meat, cooked rice, onions, garlic, egg, soy sauce, pepper, and salt. Ensure ingredients bind well.
3. Assemble the rolls: Place a cabbage leaf flat, add 2–3 tbsp filling near the base. Fold sides inward, then roll tightly like a burrito. Repeat with remaining leaves and filling.
