Stir-Fried Lettuce with Pork: A Culinary Guide

Stir-fried lettuce with pork is a quick, nutritious, and flavorful dish loved for its crisp-tender texture and savory taste. Here’s a simple yet delicious recipe to guide you.

Ingredients: 300g pork loin (sliced thin), 1 lettuce (cored and torn into bite-sized pieces), 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp oyster sauce, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1 tbsp cooking oil, salt, and pepper to taste.

Steps:

1. Marinate the pork: In a bowl, combine pork slices with 1/2 tbsp soy sauce, a pinch of salt, pepper, and 1 tsp cornstarch. Mix well and let sit for 15 minutes.

2. Prep the lettuce: Rinse lettuce under cold water and drain thoroughly. Pat dry to avoid excess moisture.

3. Cook the pork: Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Stir-fry marinated pork for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

4. Sauté aromatics: Add minced garlic to the wok, stir-frying until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

5. Combine and season: Return pork to the wok. Add lettuce, remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Toss quickly for 1-2 minutes until lettuce wilts but remains crisp.

6. Serve: Transfer to a plate immediately. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.

Tips: For extra flavor, a dash of sesame oil or sliced chili can be added. Overcooking lettuce will make it soggy, so keep the stir-fry time short. Enjoy this vibrant dish with steamed rice!
