A Simple Guide to Making Pizza at Home

Making pizza at home is easier than you think—no fancy equipment required! Start with the dough: mix 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp yeast, 1 tsp salt, 3/4 cup warm water, and 1 tbsp olive oil. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth, then let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

While the dough rests, prepare toppings. Classic tomato sauce: mix canned tomatoes with minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and a pinch of sugar. For cheese, mozzarella is a must—fresh or shredded both work. Get creative with veggies (bell peppers, mushrooms), proteins (pepperoni, cooked chicken), or herbs (basil, parsley).

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness—thin for a crisp base, thick for a chewy one. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread sauce, add cheese, and top with your favorite ingredients. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese bubbles.

Let it cool for 5 minutes, slice, and enjoy! From Margherita to BBQ chicken, the possibilities are endless. Homemade pizza isn’t just delicious—it’s fun to make!
