How to Make Stir-Fried Lettuce with Shredded Pork

Stir-fried lettuce with shredded pork is a quick, healthy, and delicious dish that balances crispiness and tenderness. Here’s a simple guide to making it at home.

Ingredients: 300g pork tenderloin, 1 lettuce (preferably romaine or iceberg), 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp cooking oil, salt, and pepper to taste.

Steps:

1. Prepare the ingredients: Slice the pork into thin shreds and marinate with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper for 15 minutes. Wash and shred the lettuce, keeping the leaves crisp.

2. Cook the pork: Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the pork shreds until golden, then set aside.

3. Stir-fry the lettuce: In the same wok, add a little oil if needed, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Toss in the lettuce quickly, stirring for 1–2 minutes until slightly wilted but still crisp.

4. Combine and season: Return the pork to the wok. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, stir well for another 30 seconds, then serve hot.

Tips: For extra flavor, a dash of sesame oil or a pinch of sugar can be added. Avoid overcooking the lettuce to maintain its crunch. This dish pairs perfectly with steamed rice, making it a satisfying weeknight meal!
