How to Make Perfect Muffins: A Simple Guide

Muffins are a beloved treat, easy to customize and perfect for any time of day. Here’s a basic guide to baking fluffy, delicious muffins from scratch.

Ingredients:

- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- ¾ cup sugar (adjust for sweetness)

- 2 tsp baking powder

- ½ tsp salt

- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

- 2 large eggs

- ⅓ cup melted butter or oil

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Mix-ins:

Chocolate chips, blueberries, bananas, or nuts (1–1 cup).

Instructions:

1. Preheat & Prep: Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.

2. Dry Mix: In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3. Wet Mix: In another bowl, beat eggs, then stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla.

4. Combine: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Mix *just until combined*—overmixing makes muffins tough. Fold in mix-ins.

5. Bake: Fill each cup ¾ full. Bake 18–22 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Tips: For extra flavor, add a cinnamon-sugar topping before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Enjoy these versatile treats plain or dressed up with your favorite additions!
