Cream Fruit Cake

A Guide to Making Creamy Fruit Cakes

Creating a delicious creamy fruit cake is simpler than you think! Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you bake a moist, flavorful dessert topped with fresh fruits and luscious cream.

Ingredients: For the cake, you’ll need 1½ cups all-purpose flour, 1 cup sugar, ½ cup butter (softened), 2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1½ tsp baking powder, and ½ cup milk. For the cream, use 2 cups heavy whipping cream, ¼ cup powdered sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla. Fresh fruits like strawberries, kiwis, blueberries, and peaches work best for decoration.

Steps:

1. Bake the Cake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round pan. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually mix in flour and baking powder alternately with milk. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.

2. Prepare the Cream: Chill the mixing bowl and beaters. Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.

3. Assemble: Slice the cooled cake horizontally into two layers. Spread a layer of cream on the bottom layer, arrange fruits, then place the top layer. Frost the entire cake with the remaining cream, and decorate with more fresh fruits.

Tips: For extra flavor, brush the cake layers with simple syrup. Chill for 2 hours before serving to let the flavors meld. Enjoy your homemade creamy fruit cake—a perfect treat for any occasion!
