How to Make Corn and Pork Rib Stew: A Complete Guide

Corn and pork rib stew is a comforting, hearty dish loved for its sweet, savory flavors and tender texture. Here’s a simple yet delicious recipe to guide you.

Ingredients:

- 500g pork ribs, cut into pieces

- 2 fresh corn cobs, sliced into rounds

- 1 carrot, diced (optional)

- 3 garlic cloves, minced

- 1 ginger slice (about 1cm thick)

- 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp oyster sauce

- Salt, pepper to taste

- 6 cups water or broth

Steps:

1. Prepare the ribs: Rinse ribs, blanch in boiling water for 5 minutes to remove impurities, then drain.

2. Sauté aromatics: Heat oil in a pot, stir-fry garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add ribs, cook until lightly browned.

3. Simmer: Pour in water/broth, add soy sauce and oyster sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes.

4. Add vegetables: Toss in corn and carrot. Simmer for another 20–25 minutes until ribs are tender and corn is soft.

5. Season: Adjust salt and pepper. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Tips: For richer flavor, use a mix of corn and broth. Adding a splash of milk during the last 5 minutes can enhance creaminess. Enjoy this wholesome stew with rice or crusty bread!
