How to Make Delicious Cocoa Cookies: A Simple Guide

Cocoa cookies are a beloved treat, loved for their rich chocolatey flavor and crispy texture. Here’s an easy, step-by-step guide to baking perfect cocoa cookies at home.

Ingredients: You’ll need 1½ cups all-purpose flour, ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ¼ teaspoon salt, ½ cup softened butter, ¾ cup granulated sugar, 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and optional chocolate chips or nuts.

Steps:

1. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

2. Cream butter and sugar: In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, then mix again.

3. Combine wet and dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if desired.

4. Chill and shape: Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes (this prevents spreading). Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are firm. Let them cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Tips: For extra chewiness, add a tablespoon of corn syrup. Adjust cocoa for a richer taste. Enjoy your homemade cocoa cookies with a glass of milk!
