How to Make Bacon-Wrapped Enoki Mushrooms

Bacon-wrapped enoki mushrooms are a delightful, savory appetizer or snack, loved for their crispy bacon, tender mushrooms, and flavorful blend. Here’s a simple guide to making them:

Ingredients:

- 1 pack fresh enoki mushrooms (roots trimmed)

- 8-10 bacon slices (cut in half lengthwise for smaller wraps)

- 2 tbsp soy sauce

- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

- 1 tsp sesame oil

- 1 minced garlic clove (optional)

- Toothpicks (to secure)

Steps:

1. Prep the Mushrooms: Trim the enoki roots and separate the mushrooms into small bunches. Pat dry with a paper towel to ensure crispiness.

2. Season the Mushrooms: In a bowl, toss enoki with soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and garlic (if using). Let marinate for 10 minutes.

3. Wrap the Bacon: Take a bacon half and wrap it tightly around a mushroom bunch, overlapping the bacon. Secure with a toothpick. Repeat until all ingredients are used.

4. Cook: Arrange the wraps on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway, until bacon is crispy. For a charred finish, broil for 2–3 minutes.

5. Serve: Drizzle with extra soy sauce or sesame oil. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions.

These bites are perfect for parties or as a quick snack—their combination of smoky, sweet, and umami flavors makes them irresistible!
