Ode to the Lotus

Born from murky depths, the lotus rises, pure and undimmed, its petals kissed by morning dew yet unstained by the mud below. A symbol of resilience, it teaches that beauty thrives not in absence of struggle, but in grace amid imperfection.

In summer heat, its broad leaves stretch like emerald shields, offering shade to darting fish, while blossoms in shades of pink and white stand tall, their subtle fragrance weaving through the still air. Bees hum around its golden heart, a testament to life’s quiet harmony.

To the poet, the lotus is more than a flower—it is a mirror to the soul. It bends in the wind but never breaks, its roots anchoring it firmly to the earth even as its spirit soars toward the sun. In its quiet strength, we find hope: that no matter how dark the waters, we too can bloom, unyielding and radiant.

As dusk falls, the lotus closes its petals, a gentle rest before the dawn. Yet its beauty lingers, a reminder that true purity lies not in isolation, but in the courage to rise above, again and again.
