## Mom's Breakfast Chart: A Sweet Start to the School Year

The first day of school always arrives with a mix of excitement and chaos. But in our home, it kicks off with something that eases the rush: Mom’s hand-drawn breakfast chart. Taped to the fridge, it’s more than just a schedule—it’s her love, sketched in color.

Each week, the chart features a rotating menu: fluffy pancakes on Mondays, toast with sunny-side-up eggs on Tuesdays, oatmeal with fresh berries on Wednesdays, and cheesy scrambled eggs on Thursdays. Fridays are a treat: cinnamon rolls, still warm from the oven. Weekends bring leisurely French toast or homemade waffles, drizzled with maple syrup. Beside each dish, Mom adds little notes: “Sleep in a bit—pancakes are ready!” or “You’ve got this, champ!”—along with smiley faces or doodles of steaming mugs.

What makes the chart special isn’t just the food, but the care behind it. She wakes up earlier to prepare everything, ensuring we start the day with a full belly and a smile. Even on busy mornings, when we’re rushing to catch the bus, the chart reminds us we’re loved. It’s a small thing, but it turns ordinary mornings into moments of warmth, making the school year feel a little less daunting and a lot more like home.

As we grab our backpacks, we don’t just leave with lunch—we carry the comfort of Mom’s breakfast, and her heart, with us.
